Default Where to get a new engine

Anyone know where i can get an sti engine for my car, i think the head gasket is gone going to ace in the morning to conferm. Would like to replace the engine with a more powerful one.

my mate bought his from roger clark and fitte it himself not ure what price he paid,or theres api they can fit it nathens a top machanic.

Don't think fitting an STI engine will give u anymore power (maybe a tiny bit due to the better heads/cams) it's the ECU/Mapping that give the STI more power.
You would need to get a re-map to take advantage of an STI engine. They are just stronger so can handle more power.

Ask Andy he may know of an engine for u.

Then the gear box, brakes etc will need looking at eventually. Check out Jap Performance Parts : Home or API. One supplies, one supplies and fits.

Went with API myself, not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and they had the car back to me the date they said they would.

cheers guys dropped the car off this morning no word on it yet,

any ideas on how much a rebuild is compeared to a new engine?

ace can't do the work on my car, anyother recomendations local?

will just be getting a new engine and need it fitted.
