Default Speedo problems again!

Ok i'm getting fed up now. My speedo cable has yet again come apart where it joins the converter half way down the bulk head. Is there another option apart from having the rectangular convertor joined to the top and bottom half of the cable half way down the bulk head? I think i saw once that you could get a long all in one cable and a round converter which plugs directly in to the back of the clocks so that its not spinning in the engine bay.

Failing that can i not just get an all in one cable with no converter and just have the speedo reading in kph. As i can use the road angel for the mph speed.

Any opinions welcome.

There should be small spring clips that hold the cable & convertor in place.
No harm in using some tape to seal the cable & convertor once its clipped into place.

Thanks Ticky. I was thinking i might try taping them together. I have got the small clips that you mentioned but even with them the cable still manages to find its way loose.

Failing that James, you can get a converter which plugs directly into the back of the speedo where the speedo cable normaly goes and it just sits between the speedo and the cable. Thats the one i opted for, just a bit of a fiddle to get the clocks out, but its not too bad.

Cheers Taylor . Thats the one the round converter that goes into the back of the clocks . I'll be ordering one shortly.
