Default Cheap WRX 2.5 2007

I've been looking at the Cheap WRX 2.5 2007's at motorpoint & ron skinner. Grey, black & blue.. £13999 with cat2 alarm/ imob. They are imports from cyprus with a european 3 year warranty. Anybody got one? Is there much difference between them and the uk models. I had a quote from admiral & declared what it was £400 fully comp. Powerstation do a 290bhp upgrade for about a grand sounds like a a cheap ride?? I'd be interested in anybodies comments

Mine is a Euro import from Malta. The Euro cars are the same spec as UK cars but with a few small differences. The Euro car doesnt have locking wheel nuts, doesnt have an alarm (unless fitted by the dealer selling the car), is serviced every 9k rather than 10k and most dont have side airbags in the seats as this is an optional extra in Malta/Cyprus.
The seats without the airbags are more fitted and in my opinion better as they hold you better.

Make sure you get the full three year warranty as some WRX's have been pre-registered and the warranty period will have started.

As for power mods, Powerstation has a good rep and its very convenient, but you may be better off replacing the exhaust system and cat with a system you want and getting the car mapped with Bob Rawl. The car will be mapped on the road rather than in the garage so it will be a better match to your personal driving style.

Dont forget though, if you have any of the above done, it will void your warranty.

Hope this helps,
Ian

Oh ye, would i buy one again? Without a doubt!!!

i got 1 jan 06 so far no probs at all, bit gutted after i got it cos they dropped a grand of the price i paid £15,995otr plus i paid £600 for the power upgrade (dont do it!!!), its recently been to power stations rollers and gave 330bhp/475nm with a loose intercooler pipe so i think she had more to give, its a dream and worth every penny and more.

Scooby401, what was the poor £600 upgrade? & what did Powerstation do to your WRX to give it 330bhp? & What did it cost?

Cheers

Wasn't the £600 upgrade just a disconnected pipe??? I'd of been fuming if that was me.

power upgrade at £600 involved putting 2 small cuts in the wastegate pipes to deliver more boost, and thats it!!! power station only did the power run, got 330bhp/475nm from revolution full 3" system inc 100 cell sports cat, zero sports induction kit & flow system, sytec comp fuel pump, irridium plugs(7's), td05-20g turbo, andy forest custom map (ecutec),wrapped pipes, sti v8 tmic. good power but like another run with the inter cooler pipe on properly this time.

I didnt think the WRX turbo was good for anything above 300hp, or have you had it replaced?
