Angry think ive been stiched up

i went to a car super market and picked up a new my06 wrx 2.5 jan 06 and saved approx £4.5k on uk list, all good so far, whilst going throgh the prosess of buying it the sales guy asked if id be interested in a power upgrade, quoted 50bhp & 55flbs for £599 so i jumped at it, all was well and i was quite impressed, next i fitted a revolution cat back system and a k&n panel filter (later changed for a zero sports kit) and a forge dv, all still good, next came the revolution sport cat and the overboost problems, by now its been a few months since i boght the car and im starting to get into scoobs so i realised a remap was required but wanted to fit a larger turbo 1st (an andy forrest td05-20g that i fitted today, whilst speaking to andy he told me that he had come across this particular companys so called power upgrade before and that it wasnt a remap that the price would have sudgested but a meer boost upgrade, to cut a long story short i discoverd the boost upgrade earlier, the rubber pipe work that came from the actuator on the td04 had been cut in two places fooling tho poor little turb into delivering more boost, this became aparent after replaceing the cut pipes even with the bigger turbo it actually boosted alot less, roll on 17th may (af remap), so £599 to descreetly slice two pipes, have i been stiched up?

sorry to be so blunt..but yes !!

when would you ever trust a sales guy at a car supermarket with modifications on a performance car ?

By all means buy one from them, but after that, leave it up to the experts.

yes & I wish you luck trying to get your money back but as you have now changed things it may be difficult, but scream and stamp all the same, it may work and they still need to justify what they have done.

Sounds like they have given you a power upgrade all be it an unsafe one. As said you can try and kick up a fuss but I really can't see you getting far.

Not trying to tell you to suck eggs or anyhing but perhaps a little more research on your behalf would of saved you money in the long run.
