Unhappy boom

think my car has had it, it wont turn over the lights are on turn the key and nothing just a clicking noise, well gutted

yeah really gutted mate, i was just driving down the road and the car just stoped and wouldnt start again,

Sounds like an electrical fault if it just cut out and won't start again.

please say its that,there was no bang or smoke or leaks just dead when i turn the key the starter motor dont move just a click and thats it.

I my be talking out my Fat Ar*e, But that sounds like an earth problem to me.

Battery maybe although that wouldn't explain why it cut out. Could be the Alternator or Alternator Belt has gone so the battery has drained completly dead.

Have you tried Jump starting it?

funny you said that one of my mate found a lose earth cabel on sat and he put it back in its place but it might be the wrong place il check tommorow. thanks mate

Is the battery still holding charge and are you able to jump start the car?.

morning boys, Its a great morning for me just went to have a go starting the car this morning and it started first time well happy. im going to take the car to someone to have a look at it and for them to give it the once over, who is the best around. thanks with the help.

alright just an update the car is f**cked just started the car and oil just came out every were. the guy that does all the stuff on my car thinks its the cranks,oil seal and i think he said something about the head,

just taken the bottom end out and it not good, the bearings the crank there was loads of metal bits in the oil, whats the best thing for me to do now.

Bottom end rebuild if the top is ok may be your cheapest option, if your temped to go down the 2.5 route a word of warning!!!! its gets expensive!
