Default FAO: pippyrips (re: tyres)

Hi Rob,

My tyres are due for replacement soon and was hoping for some info/advice from you as I know you replaced yours a couple of months back.

1- Are you still happy with the Goodyears and were they EAGLE F1 GS-D3 225/40 ZR18 92Y XL BSW?

2- I can get them from mytyres.co.uk for £390.80 and a local garage can fit them for £47, total = £437.80 (inc VAT). Is this the sort of money you paid and if so, where did you get them done?

If it's going to cost similar money I'd rather drive in somewhere and save the hassle of having the tyres shipped to me and then carting them to a fitter.

Thanks mate.

rich,

that be the ones! - still happy with them though i'm looking forward to having powerstation sorting the alignment out on tuesday to help prolong life!. They are miles ahead of my old toyo T1-s's

Give Atlas tyres (roath, cardiff) a call - got mine through them in the end as they beat mytres price

Cool, thanks for the info. I'll give them a call in a couple of weeks when mine are done.

Rich.

£47 for fitting

Try Grant at GT tyres aswell he may be able to do you a deal on them 01495 272770 and i'm sure he will beat £47 for fitting if you do get them off Mytyres.

It's in Cwmcarn, about 5 miles from JCT 28 M4.

Cool thanks. Need to get them soon, apparently the MOT would've been touch n go if I'd left it too much longer.......
