Default Need abit of help

Guys,

I'm need of abit of help please.

While refitting the head on my 205 GTI to the instructions of the Haynes manual, I managed to strip a thread on the bottom end block.

I need to make a new thread on the block using a Helicoil kit or what some people might know it as a Recoil kit, without one of these the engine is no good and probably have to be scrapped.

I know I can get a kit for £45 , but paying this much and only using this once doesn't seem viable unless I know its going to work for certain, I can get the inserts myself which are only about £5 but I'll need the TAP to create the new thread.

Would anyone have one available to borrow and of course I'll chuck you couple of quid. This needs to be a size of M11x1.5

Cheers
Matt

Not so soon , give it a year or maybe sooner depending if something drastic happens.
