Should I buy?

Should I buy?
I have seen this for sale and quite interested but I wanted peoples honest opinions on the car. The only details I have at the moment are :
1997 R reg Impreza Catalunya limited edition No. 021
Perfect example of a sought after limited edition. This car has 70,000 miles, full dealer service history, unmarked black mica bodywork and gold alloys, air con, Catalunya floor mats, excellent tyres. Cat 1 Alarm fitted, 6 track CD / Stereo. A really nice example of a much sought after model.
£5,000 - Price lowered - Ready to go

oi, there is nawt wrong with Uk cars!!!!!!!!! mine seems to go okay, ask simb!!!!
but you would notice a differeance between your car and this one, yours being the better car!!!!! you will find it slower but spend a couple of grand on it and it should be right back up to JDM power output's.
If i was buying again I'd be looking an STI, I'd have an absolute monster if i'd had bought an STI and spent the same money on it as i've spent on the uk turbo
And yes it does have a wicked paint job, gold fleck and all

hi there just to let you know it has a red flake under the black and the car is a collectors item now, and it won't cost much to get it up to 300 bhp and there is nothing wrong with a uk turbo, plus cheaper insurance my cat is around 300 brake now and it didnt cost the earth to get it up there, have a look on sidc catalunya registration it will give you more info on the car and some pics hope this helps you

Cheers Lee, have already looked on SIDC. It being a collectors car is what is drawing Chris. The only thing is with all the mods we are doing to the car we already have I don't think we could afford to mod the two cars.
And by the way it was a joke about the UK Turbo

John, Yours is faster than mine but I won't go equal length manifold as I love the burble so much. When I update mine I might turn her into a track car and follow your route.
How is the build coming along????

The only little thing that niggles at me though with regard to the Cat is with it being a Ltd Etd , I myself believe that the car shouldn't be modified as it is a collectors car now and shouldn't be touched a bit like a toy car ,a collector will pay more money for it boxed and in good nick but one that has been played with with be worth nothing.
But thats just my opinion though with regards to a car that only 200 were made.

very true but a little tweeking is not gona hurt
dan's car is very responsive and it is a uk car and if your gonna use dan as an example then do as the guy is doing
spend the earth on it and then drive the bloody thing and enjoy what u've spent all your hard earn cash on
it kills me that a lot of peeps seem to spend the earth on these car and before getting any fun out of what they have done they sell them on at a big loss
there are cars out there that if you are willing to wait a little will have most of the mods on there allready for you
or if possible buy somthing that just don't need moding like an import
