I have the opportunity of buying a 'AEM Ram Cold Air hardpipe Intake' but need some advice.

1) Is it worth replacing my standard airbox without any other additional/supporting mods?

2) Do I need to add a mod to provide additional airflow through the front of the car, or will it work ok as a direct replacement for the std airbox?

3) Any other advice or considerations?

In one word Rich "NO" its not worth it, the standard air box is very effective this was what i was told by a lot of impreza experts , they can also upset the air/fuel and you might even need a remap to get the best out of it.
I looked into getting one to support my other mods but unless you intend BIG power its just not worth it.

It is nice and shiney, isn't it

I figured I'd need a remap so was thinking of getting it done when I have my decat pipes put on. If there's no real benefit I'll give it a miss, unless nyone else has any comments? I'm not planning big power, ~280-290.
