The Shell garage on the Malpas Road has nearly always been relatively cheaper than everywhere else. I use it regularly. They demonstrate what a bunch of misers the others can be.

I know. If Im leaving Cardiff and heading towards Newport I would rather chance it on the red and get it elsewhere than buy it from Pentwyn.

Both the shell garages in newport are reasonable compare to the rest, think it's coz there's a Sainsburys a couple of hundred yards up the road. The one in Crumlin is a rip off, i'd rather drive all the way to newport than pay an extra 5p a litre.

See now theres a thing in it, both Malpas Road in Newport and Henllys Way in Cwmbran are Shell owned. However Malpas Road are always cheaper. They tell me its so that they can compete with Sainsburys. I did suggest the error of their ways was misguided and not customer facing, if you get what I mean.

funnily enough I can remember about 3 years ago when Malpas shell's petrol was 73p a litre and was glad some one had the sense to sell petrol at a decent price. I still think the same and its nearly a quid.
