I am sure my first tank was 99 ron at Tescos by Motorpoint on Newport retail park when I picked the car up this week.

I may stand corrected but I went there with no petrol (amazing how they judge it so well that you can only just get off their site!), expecting to have to put Normal UL in to find a "Super unleaded pump" n.b it was circa 97.9p on Tuesday.

So if we all start using Tesco's rocket fuel when it reaches us, do we need engine re-mapping or anything?

Don't need a remap to go from optimax to tesco 99 ron as it reduces knock activity, but to get the most out of the petrol then you would need a remap, apparantly you can run a few more degrees of ignition advance with tesco 99.

I'm going to get mine done again when it comes round here, along with a few other tweeks at the same time (new air filter and probably headers)
