POLICE AND HIGH POWER CARS!!! PMSFL
i was just told the funniest thing i've herd for some time .
a friend of mine who has left the force now was speaking with someone he new and he was telling him that our local plod had a loan of a a new evo or something 45k the price tag was on it. well there were 10 of them fighting over the car to take it out first so they tossed the coin for it . so the guy who won only had it for about 20mins and mangled it, total right off and was'nt evan responding to anything.
what's your thoughts on that
richie

I guess thats the new FQ400 then. They are are seriously quick but if you are new too evo's they will bite.Trust me!! My advice to any newbie evo owners is to get it on a track or runway to provoke the oversteer and learn how to get it back in relative safety cos you do really have to learn how to drive them otherwise it can go pear-shaped when it finally does let go.

Police people aren't (usually) the cleverest of folk, so the fact that one of them managed to mangle an evo within minutes of setting off in the ****** comes as no surprise.

That is correct mate,
It does 0-60 in about 3.5 seconds but some journo's have launched it and i think they had just approx 2.8 seconds. I wouldnt advise that though unless you are will to pay for a new gearbox etc.

Yeh its all fun and games. Old jokes though eh? Seriously though, you do have to learn the evo otherwise you will defo do the wrong thing come understeer time and then the AYC will come and over correct. Maybe they should have got an uprated rally ACD with quicker software mapped in to help catch it earlier, the difference is really noticable and it reacts very quickly indeed

FQ 400 was on top gear last night racing agianst a lambo.
looks like it had a little bit of turbo lag
maybe thats the only time the police can drive a fast car when it's having a bit of lag
lol.

They have estimated the police officers speed at roughly 80-85mph in a 40mph. Will he get done for this now ? I F**KING DOUBT IT
