Technical help Please

One for you lads out there, on my STI i have a WR back box and when reversing it smells very bad? any ideas,

Haven't been on for a couple of weeks, been in Scotland.

How old is the STI? as they do that a lot from new - its the clutch, no at problem though it will go.
