anyone here taking part??
Looks like muggings here will be marshalling one of the check points this year, so if you see a silver scooby sport parked up make sure you DONT leave your mark on it
Anyways, good luck if you are taking part!!

Might see you around then, hoping to get around some of the course myself and get on some of the spectator spots, just gotta watch out the old fuzz, seem to be keen(er) around here on these rally events.
75 cars running in all so it should be a good weekend, as long as it doesnt chuck it down. Hoping I dont get a late check point though, dont fancy getting home at 7am on both nights, but im sure it'll be fun whatever happens

Not sure on the result yet, but soon as I do I’ll post up.
we were running a checkpoint on Friday and at an hour into the race 2 cars had retired, went back last night to run another checkpoint and only 50 odd cars went through us @ 1am. So yeh a fair few retirements through-out the two days. Unfortunately my mate was one of them, his car (69) had to pull out due his exhaust disappearing off the car in the final stages of the Friday night, exactly the same happened last year, poor bugga.
We were up at NCE school for a bit, hazard flashed another scooby (was it you?), then buggered off to Tegryn to try and catch some good shots of the cars coming through.
Don’t suppose you heard anything about that EVO? we heard on Friday night that another competitor had gone into the back of him and wrote him off, then on Saturday I heard from one of the organizers that he was 11 minutes down on the first few stages and decided to retire. Mate was gutted as we didn’t get a change to see him apart from at the checkpoint.
But all in all it was a good weekend .. shame that there were no scoobys competing this year though.

Timo, in the evo had clutch and gearbox troubles.
Im not sure if you would have heared the very sad news on Dave Pitchford, Who was navigating for Gary Jones in the 4door Mk2 Running i think at Number 2 or 3, he was very sadly killed in a road accident on the way home after the event.

Terrible News, My deepest condolences to Dave Pitchford's family, didnt know the chap but I probably said hello briefly to him as I signed their papers @ PC95.
Thanks for clearing that up regarding the EVO. My mate James (car 69) is still well pee'd off that he didnt make it around (again!) due to his now infamous exhaust problem.
Just got back from Essex so not sure on the results, hopefully it'll be in the local rag tomorrow, I'll post up here if you cant get hold of it.
Cheers, Lee

A very well deserved win by Dan, by far the most commited we saw, 6th was Owen Llwyd Edwards/Daniel Thomas in an Astra.
I`ll have to try and make it for next year.. its been a while!!
