Anyone recommend me the best welsh roads available for my P1 coming from Brum? Dad is over (also a motorsport nut) and we fancy heading to Wales for the weekend to drive the car

Any top tips for places to eat or stay on SAt night on the route are also appreciated!

Cool

Put a call out in the midlands forum for CharlieWhiskey....he is the routemeister and knows of some cracking roads up and down the UK.

You won't be disappointed.

If you're going to North Wales, make sure you go up the A5, turn off at Llangollen onto the A542 and do the Horseshoe Pass, followed by the Nant-y-Garth Pass almost immediatley after it. Fantastically twisty road, very well suited to our cars. I always make sure I go that way in at least one direction whenever I have to work in North Wales.

IIRC it's one of the roads used by the various car mags for photo shoots etc.

Good pub food on that road in the Sun Trefor. Check out Worlds End worth a stop and stare. On a clear day you can see Liverpool, so you wanna hope its misty
