Im toying with the idea of tinting our sti8 when it arrives, has anyone had this done by the dealer or have they got it done by a company. Priced it with the dealer and its slightly cheeper than taking it myself, also whats the most popular tint?

 

done mine myself <looks shti lol> but only cost me £20 so not complaing <looks ok from adistance lol>

go for limo black on the back an back sides and a light smoke on the front
any darker on the front an the police dont like it <as its against the law to put a tint on the front that stops x amount of sunlight entering the car

 

N-W-S, think the limo will be too dark personally.
Has anyone had timts done by Keith price (guys from merthyr ) or CVC( dont know who they get) or sunroof n stripes in blackwood?

 

suroof and strips are suposed to be good there who the main dealers use i belive

Had mine done at Keith Price by the guys from Merthyr...top job, cant fault it.

What colour is your STi ?...i had the light smoke all round and it looks superb, any darker on a black STi looks too much

Affraid I cant post pics on scoobynet, but if you want me to email you a couple, should be able to sort it out

Gareth if you could send pic i`ll be grateful, my 8s blue, possibly having next week sometime. I might use sumroof & stripes though, as if you listen to the companies in cardiff cvc use them all, and with a difference in price £180 cheepest (5 tints in half a day) to £275+ vat ( 5 tints 1-2 days keeping the car)Theres no way id leave the car for 2 days with someone, but if an owner will leave an £87,000 rangie with s&s i`ll contemplate leaving my scoob.

Had mine done today at Auto-tint in Cardiff. Excellent job. No complaints. Why go thru a dealer. They'll only want their cut as well.

Yes, Auto-tint in Cardiff are good. Has mine for almost a year now and I have had no problems. The price is also reasonable.

They charged me £180. All windows done except screen.

I couldnt find auto tint in the directory, onlt motor tint/madol (same company) they want £180 for 5 windows and take half a day. As for giving dealer money , i dont expect i will and as i dont know the companies in cardiff for work/ reliability, thats why were thinking of sunroof&stripes who are simmilar priced to CVC.
You could send a pic of your car though and address for autotint please.

 

Had mine done with Keith Price.....had the back and sides as dark as possible then when i wanted the front done another guy did them he is exellent.... he does the back window in one sheet, takes some doing !! (that's the one from Merthyr)
Ring Chris the salesman up he will pass you on, or if you want to ring direct i have his number i will mail it to you, just say.
