This is what happens when you’re used to no limits on IOM.
I was in North West last week and had to keep reminding myself speed limit, slow down.
Almost got caught myself.
Were you in STI Man's or yours?
By the way passed the guy with the White WRX at dinner time, been to panelcraft, by Japan Direct waved but no response.

Hard luck m8....seen them there a number of times, always slow down just before the bend....same at the bridge between Cardiff Gate and Llantrissant westbound and also near Sarn eastbound as you drop down towards junc35.
What speed were you doing?... I got lasered near Porthcawl with the speedo showing just under 85mph, never heard a thing about it

I was in my car, the snooper went off but it was too late. I should of changed my plates to Manx plates a long time ago! Never mind. Will be changing them before the next time i go back though.
I was doing 85ish which is not that fast, but I am pretty certain they had me. My points free licence did not last very long.

Have you not got a Manx Licence yet?
If you produce a Manx licence you only get fined no points.
Very handy, I have a few mates who have both.
Completely legal.

Well, you may be lucky....don't forget you have 14 working days to recieve the NIP, but without counting chickens etc, SW police are pretty quick (according to people I know that have been caught) so if you haven't received anything by the end of the week/monday you may be OK
Fingers crossed !!!!!!!

You don’t change your licence; just apply for a Manx one.
Then you have to produce UK Licence to prove you can drive and a Manx address to register it against.
They will ask for your UK Licence to be handed in but legally you don’t have to.
Just say you want to keep it, a mate did this only 2 weeks ago.
All of a sudden half the scoobynet becomes a Manx resident.
By the way how loud is the Blitz on STI Man's with the bung in as I am thinking of getting one?
Afterburner did'nt fit!!

Cool, I will get it done this week. Still have to send the other one off though.
The blitz it not too loud with the bung in. The bung needs to be sitting right though otherwise it rattles like hell and is pretty annoying. Thats what its doing on STI MAN's car at the moment.
Did you get a full refund on the Afterburner?

Tell them you will surrender the document yourself, this is what I did. it implies that you want to be sure it has definately been handed in, without saying that the counter staff are untrustworthy.
DaveK,
The Blitz with the bung in is most agreeable over long distance with a fab roar at 5K RPM.
Without the bung........... Crikey!

rob555,
try this one http://www.arrivealive.org.uk/home/
i'm afraid its not quite as useful as the south wales site but it does give some info.
alternatively you could try this page from the five-0 site http://www.5ive-o.com/web/viewtopic.php?t=219 you may have to register to view the page but it doesn't cost anything and there's lots of good legal type info from their resident "feds"

I was camera'd at 63 on a 50 Stretch at Pontypool im my old GT4 last year. Not by Gwent Constabulary but by some crew called the South Wales Safety Camera Unit based I think Barry, ceratinly where the paperwork came from. I thought Cogan's Bluff it and didn't reply to the forms. I had one reminder about a month after the first doc's came through and then I heard no more about it. There may well be a warrant with my name on it somewhere but I still live at the same address so I doubt it. I have heard you can not reply to the summons and there is a certain timescale in which they must persue you or drop it, any truth ?.

I have heard something like that. The worst you would get, if they wanted you that badly, would be 3 points and a fine (I think).
But, touch wood, I havent had anything through yet. So its 6 days and counting.
