Default Clio 182 sport problem

Hi I know this is a Subaru forum, I also have a 2003 blob eye STI. Some of you have or have had Clio 182 sports in the past and may be able to help.

I have a continuous problem with my Clio sport. The engine management light flickers when the car is idling, the light goes off a minute or two after driving off. The diagnostic says that the lambda sensor is detecting a destructive miss fire. I was told the dephaser was to blame but this has been changed when the cam belt was changed, I was then told to change the lambda sensors which I have done but the problem is still there. Can anyone offer any advice as to what is causing this or recommend a garage in the Swansea area that may be able to find the problem?
Thanks.

Hiya
I never had a Renault so excuse my ignorance but did you or the garage clear the stored fault codes when they changed the O2 sensors as it may be the old code flashing up.
