Default Bug eye boot on blob eye HELP

Hi guys,

I'm wanting to buy a bootlid and spoiler for my 2004 WRX but the boot lid is from a 02 car.

My question is will it fit and will I be able to use the boot catch from inside the car still as its a circle lock not the square one that I have.

Also in the future will I be able to eventually put my square lock on the circle lock?

the boot lid will fit fine.

The lock however will not,

There is a totally different shape hole for the square lock. It can be cut out but is a filly job ( speaking from experience)

best bet is to get a square lock boot lid or not use the key and leave the old lock in it.

I had the same issue and was surprised to find that a new boot lock with keys from subaru was only around £16.
