Intercooler
Hay guys my standard intercooler is a little damaged had a look at sti top mounts as an upgrade but not quite sure , was wondering is there any front mounts around £200-250 that would make a better upgrade

Mark,
A FMIC for £250 will not be the best. You can get second hand topmounts for far less.
Is it that the fins are flattened? If so a lolly stick is a perfect tool to use and can be pushed from the underside to straighten the fins on the top side.
Depending on the model of your car an STi version is a great upgrade and would not need a remap or extensive spanner work. They are good for 400 bhp+.

The japspeed fmic kit can be had for £200 with snet discount https://www.scoobynet.com/trader-ann...-fmic-kit.html
There are plenty of people using them at decent power and do the job for a reasonable price. I still use the pipework from their kit as its a better fit with a more direct route than that of more expensive kits.
You will enduce some lag by going front mount though so unless your upping power bear that in mind.
