Default Williams Motor Company. Any good?

Afternoon guys

My Impreza's up for sale privately on Pheads and Ebay at the moment. Ive been approached by Williams Motor Co. to sell the car on my behalf on a sale or return?

Just wondering if anybodys used them or heard of any horror stories? Not getting a great deal of luck if im honest trying to sell privately so this is still an option?

Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance, Ryan.

From what I gather they sell cars on behalf of owners quite a lot, they put their mark up on it hence why they ask top money for the cars advertised and cars seem to be hanging around them for a while. I personally have never dealt with them but if you do a search on here you should find some more info about them.

If your car is there for a while it may stand idle, get ragged by potential customers or be the weekly "take home". It's then sold and having not been looked after things go wrong.

Would you hand your car over to someone you don't know and truly believe they will look after it?

Ahh i get you now.

Agreed, it wouldnt be looked after i doubt and no, dont even trust the Mrs with the keys so wouldnt let a complete stranger keep it.

My perception of it was that they would advetise on my behalf and take their cut/comision for doing so. Wont be leaving the car there so thats knocked that idea on the head.

Thanks for the prompt responses guys. Cheers

I'm surprised they ever sell any cars, from my experience of looking at a couple of cars in there the guy is an arrogant a**e hole who knows very little about the cars he's selling. Its a shame coz he does have some very nice cars in there.

+1 for the above quote, I have also heard a few bad things about them and also spoke to the owner on a few occasions and he doesn't seem to helpful to say the least, but each to their own. like everything there are good points and bad points about everyone/everything.
