Matte finish looks like a vinyl wrap.

Haha yeah i guess it kind of does from that photo, but in the flesh they look really good. Also the viynl wrap is a textured wrap, ive had loads of people try to convice me that a wrapped part is the genuine thing. there is no substitute.

I have been toying with the idea of carbon kevlar... but i figured who wants yellow in their roof? Also i know fo a company producing carbon fibre with say blue or red of silver polyester yarns running through the carbon, looks really trick! however its around 10 times the price of standard carbon cloth.

These will be available with fitting guides so you guys can see exactly whats involved.

The roof accomodates the origional head lining no problem.

Any questions, you can call me direct on 07912698995

What's involed in fitting a carbon roof panel? Do do need to remove front and rear screens? I understand about. Drilling out the spotwelds of original skin, do you just use a glue/sealant to stick carbon panel to car?
Cheers

Yes front and rear screens do have to be removed.
We have used Wurth Bond and Seal, we also used some counter sunk rivets along the flanges, front and back and both sides. Then allow to set with out moving the car for at least 24hrs.

Its basically the same bonding agent used as what the wind screens are put in with.

If any body does want one from carbon/kevlar hybrid we can do this. But let me check prices of the cloth first. Would look pretty trick.

Unfortunatly i dont hae any of this PET blue strand woven carbon in stock, its manufactured in japan, and the minimum order is 20m which is extremely pricey, for a classic roof made using this you'd be looking at £1000 easily, we would have to run a group buy on this to justify ordering the fabric from japan.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

thanks for the info chris

i wont give up lol, can you pm me the details of the company please if thats possible?, how many cm's/meter's to do a roof?, could you also redo the strip on the P1 rear wing? if i brought/sourced an amount of it, what would be the position of comissioning a roof, rear wing lip , and standard wing mirrors and safari flap? eg do you have these moulds or would you have to tool up?

i have a few bubble's on my roof so in the next 6 months it will either be a respray or new roof? just trying to think outside the box
