Supercharged v8

Just wondering what the rough price for a .25 overbore and hone are these days on an otherwise good condition block?

We charge £120 plus vat. (£144) We use stress plates for bore and hone.
You'd get the block back chemically cleaned as well.

Cheaper than i thought it would be tbh,do you pin blocks aswell? (Depending on which is better, 257 Semi CDB, Pinned, or Linered?)

I could actually be tempted to build a pre emptive forged short block.

We don't pin 2.5 blocks, although as we've run them to over 600 bhp without pinning, we don't worry about it too much.

Alan,

Looks Like I've got an exhaust valve seal oil leak on my forged 2.5 (not built by you) what would I be looking at to get this fixed plus a quick check of the bottom end? Assuming all is ok?

Hi Steve

Yes, we can check it for journal size and condition, straightness and balance.
If you'd like us to do that, just send it down.

Regards Alan

It's a bit open ended, depending on exactly what we find. Of course, there's nothing quick about doing a Subaru engine!
Could you PM me a day time number? I'll call you for a chat..
