I have used Indigo GT quite a few times for parts and have always found Antony and Ryan nothing but helpful.

Nobody is asking for a debate, just asking the OP what the benefits of his product he advertising actually have over a cheaper option. As I and it seems others don't know.

It's a fair question and I will answer as best I can.
In the past we have used open source, and simply put for us as a customer focused business it doesn't tick all the boxes that we need it to.
The main criticism of EcuTek is the initial purchase of the license, in our professional opinion the benefits greatly outweigh the cost. Our after sales service and support is of paramount importance and in all fairness the support we receive from EcuTek which in turn passes through us onto our customers is second to none.
With EcuTek, we know the software we're using has been tried and tested. We can give that assurance to our customers, an assurance that we simply cannot give with open source products despite the best intentions.
Ultimately the choice comes down to personal preference and affordability, we believe that for our customers that don't want to replace the ECU itself, EcuTek is the better solution.

One of the biggest issues with open source is the definition files, if there is a mistake in this it can cook the ECU, as so many people are changing thing mistakes can happen.
We have seen the supply of replacment Evo X ecu's go through the roof for just this reason.
In addition to this you have the race rom features which for the DBW cars which include Auto blipping the throttle on downshift, SD mapping, per gear boost control to name but a few
