Hi Harvey
Would you recommend changing the up pipe on my Spec C, it's currently having an engine rebuild and having a new turbo and should be capable of around 500bhp. I'm staying with a twin scroll setup as well.

Sorry but I do not know as I have done very little work on twin scrolls. After the first twin scrolls where we ported the manifold/uppipe we found the factory manufacturing process was so good there was only a slight improvement we could make and the small gains were not worth the time and expense.
If you send me your uppipe we can examine it. Uppipe and headers even better and we can assess the whole system in the format it operates. Subject to timing it can go on the flow bench and then I can advise properly. There will be no cost examining it other than postage. Hope this helps.

I had read that the standard headers were the best in terms of performance especially when compared to some 'whizzo' aftermarket items but I wasn't sure about the up pipe.
I'll look at getting the headers and up pipe to you later in the year after the car has been run in, turbo fitted and Bob has remapped it for me and I have put some mileage on the engine.

That all sounds good but I could turn round your uppipe same day if that helps and have it back on an overnight service. If I got it Saturday it would post Monday. If I got it Monday morning it would post Monday afternoon and it will cost you the carriage for overnight only.

I am not sure what you are trying to see and I am not sure my photographic skills will show whatever you are trying to look at.
It may be easier if you e-mail me a photo and explain what you are checking.
As you are not far away you can always call and look at one in the flesh.
