BRD News update
Most people will know that BRD started over 10 years ago and for that period of time has been a partnership between a close friend and myself. Due to other commitments I have limited my mapping availability to weekend working although, during this period, I have found the time to support invitations to travel internationally to map a wide range of cars on many occasions.
Tuning cars has been, for me, something that I “wanted” to do as opposed to being something I “had” to do. In that respect I hope this has been reflected in the enthusiasm shown for every customer and every car tuned whatever its make, model or type.
It is probably not a surprise, then, when I say that I am very pleased to announce that I have extended my mapping and tuning to be a “full time” occupation as a sole trader and slots are now available through the week as well. I have decided to maintain my Saturday slots since by doing so I can accommodate those of you who find it difficult to take time from your work. Obviously those slots are generally the most sought after and a longer lead-time would always be applicable. For the rest, though, weekday opportunities are now available.
Contrary to some opinion I have always been prepared to travel to tune, obviously my limitation of activity meant that this was sometimes difficult to arrange, now that restriction does not exist.
By arrangement I will happily travel to map your car, bear in mind that there is an expense involved which has to be included over and above the mapping fee, if more than a single car is involved I can come to an agreement on the level of cost involved for travel which could end up being negated under the right circumstances. I already travel to certain parts of the country on a regular basis.
Rolling road tuning. Many companies offer facilities so that we freelance tuners can take the opportunity to tune customer vehicles on their rolling road, this is something that I do from time to time. Obviously the vehicle still has to be taken onto the road afterwards to hone the drivability and re-adjust the boost response plus adjust fueling if necessary. If a customer is happy to bear the extra costs involved then this can be accommodated at one of the establishments offering this facility. There are some companies I visit and tune for abroad for whom this is essential due to local road conditions
Finally just to mention the BRD web site which is sorely in need of a refresh, in particular the cost information is very out of date and so please do make use of the contact facility to check current pricing against your requirements.
In addition email at rbr@brdevelopments.com will always solicit a response.
My contact number is 07785 748713, if I am mapping then this will not get picked up until the session is completed.
Thanks
Bob Rawle
