It is refreshing to see someone that is honest about the high beam capability of the HIDs. Well done Bren.

I've got one of these kits on my classic, Thankfully they are morrettes so I've kept the inner high beam lamp too.
The dipped HID is awesome but i wouldn't want to use the non HID High beam on their own without the inner high beam lamps.

All HID aftermarket kits I have seen that have a combined dip and full beam suffer on full beam. Dip beam is far better than the normal H4 but on full beam the light, while very bright is not well focused and there is a lot of scatter.
If you never leave town you will be in dip most of the time. If like me you do a lot of cross country driving then the whole reason for upgrading headlights is to have better full beam vision.

Bren is in the USA at the moment with our drift car which is competing in the Red Bull world drift series.
I'm not as knowledgeable as Bren regarding these but i'll do some reasearch to try and answer your questions.

Ann easiest thing to do would be to get some pics up of the kits fitted to a car, that will answer all the questions

I'm unable to get any pictures at the moment as we don't have a car here.
I'll try and confirm which set the Bugeye is later on today.
It's still Ann, here I forgot to log Bren out.

Those kits have H4-2 bulbs(HID dipped + halogen high). Dipped beam is massively brighter than high beam. There are other kits available with the new improved H4-3(Single HID fitament which moves to give HID dipped and HID high) or H4-4(Dual HID filament for dipped and high)
