This is as good a place as any to ask. What oil would you recommend for an old Porsche 944? I have the remainder of some Silkolene 10-40 (I think), that you and Simon supplied by way of sponsorship, but I am concerned that its a little thin. Oil pressure is within manufacturers tolerance (no smoke and use is a fraction of what Porsche say is acceptable), bit it does seem a little low when the engine is warm-hot. Id expect 2BAR at tickover, but its going down to 1.5BAR when properly warm. Porsche state that the light can come on in some circumstances, which hasnt happened, but it still seems low for an otherwise fit engine (in my experience worn bores and guides/seals are an issue long before worn journals/bearings).

It says 10w on the can in the boot; Im sure..... 5w would explain it being too thin though.
