i would be very careful about who you have doing websites for ya jgm, just look what happened to subaru central when a certain person took umbridge at comments made about his lack of dedication to the job in hand.

from my view point.. and imho..

people got annoyed at him doing a paying customers work in front of freebie work for subaru central.. then lots of people jumped on the band wagon at slagging him off and his webwork he was doing for subaru central for free..
so he just removed his work.. end of.. perhaps it was a little strong but expecting him to do freebie stuff in front of a paying customer is a little nieve too..

not that here is the place to discuss it.. many thanks for bringing it up

it was just a freindly heads up for ya thats all, he was completely in the wrong on the subaru central site doing what he did, he may well have a point with regards to doing paying work first, no problem with that, but if that was the case he should not have committed to doing the work for subaru central, and certainly shouldnt have just withdrawn all of his work effectively crippling the site in one foul swoop without at least discussing it with the rest of the admin, he might well have had the right to do it with it being his work, but not very professional imho.

end of discussion, and i wont attempt to help in the future

nobody told ross he had to do anything paying or not, come on simon if someone asked you for advice would you say no if you knew they were not going to become a paying customer, there was lots of paying work around for ross from members of subaru-central he offered to help the site and got a bit of stick for missing an event with a poor excuse he could have just said i aint comming to the event and due to a bit of banter he destroyed the site there is no excuse for what he did sounds like you are defending him jgm what would you be saying if you fell out with him? where is my site maybe???
ross we are watching you!!!!!!!!

I am defending no one, it has nothing to do with me, I typed my view and opinion above, be it right or wrong.. and also suggested that this was not the best place to discuss and is unrelated to my website and my business..

my site is fully under my control.. but thanks for the concern.

Simon, out of interest, what inspired you to choose Jolly Green Monster as your trading name?

Was it Green Giant sweetcorn or something? Or is there some kids prog./film I don't know about... Oh hold on, I've just twigged ... It's your unusual coloured Peppermint Green Classic, isn't it?!

Fully functional for me with FF3; popups blocked with ADB. It does take me to a scraggy looking page though.....
