TDI Track Day - 15th March 2011
Ladies and Gentlemen,
I've spent the last few days organising a TDI track day at Brands Hatch Indy and I'd like to see if a few of you guys would be interested in attending with us?
This day is going to be tagged onto an existing track day organised by MSV.
The Open Pit Lane events give you the flexibility to go on and off circuit as you please throughout the day. You will be able to enjoy all the circuit time you can handle to develop your driving skills.
Brands Hatch Indy Circuit is a real favourite amongst trackday drivers. This relatively short circuit is surprisingly difficult to perfect with double apexes at both Druids and Clearways. The swoops and dips add to excitement culminating in Paddock Hill Bend often described as being like dropping off the edge of the world! It should be on the list of must-dos for every trackday driver in the country!
The schedule for the day is:
07:30 Signing On
08:30 Briefing
09:00 Track Time Begins
13:00 Lunch
14:00 Track Time Restarts
17:00 Track Time Ends
Please note that the noise limitation for the day is 105dB(A)
The initial test is a static test which is carried out using a hand held meter. Each car is measured 0.5 meters away from the exhaust at a 45 degree angle when the engine is being held at ¾ of the maximum RPM. In cases where the vehicle has two separated exhausts the measurement will be taken as below from the median point between the two.
For anyone unsure of whether or not they'll make it under the noise limit, I'll remind you that we do offer a track day inspection service, details of which can be found here: http://tdi-plc.com/blog/05/07/2010/b...ay-inspection/
The cost for the full day is £175.00
If you wish to register an additional driver to your car, there is an extra cost of £25.00
Passengers are an extra £10.00
Helmets are a must but if you don't have your own, you can hire from the circuit for £10.00.
There is no charge for an already registered driver to participate as a passenger.
Please let me know if you want a space reserving. All available spaces are on a 'first come - first served' basis so please get in early to avoid disappointment.

Our Prodrive trained staff will be on hand all day to offer advice and support where required but please note that we will not be performing mapping, technical or mechanical work on site.
