Kemble on 9th Nov
#1
Just wondering if anyone else is going to Kemble airfield on the 9th of November for their beginners day? Its being organised by Easytrack.
I can't wait because it's my first day on a track - all for the bargain price of £40!!!
Hope to see more scoobies there,
Mark.

Hi,
I might be there on the 9th. Currently booked for the 10th but want to swap as a friend with a scoob is planning on going on the 9th. It's my first trackday as well, can't wait.
Keep an eye out for a red 306 rallye (or a DBG 99T scoob).

A BIG word of warning to all of you regarding Kemble.
This airfield surface is VERy VERY ABRASIVE so expect to be down to the canvass in about 5 laps. I mean this as I visited it about two months ago.

How'd people get on at Kemble today?
Does anyone know about spectators at Kemble? I'm considering taking my Scooby on an airfield day, but I'd like to see what goes on first. I thought I might go along and watch the beginners' day tomorrow.
E-mailed easytrack but no reply.

I was also apprehensive, but it was something that had to be done What a buzz. I can't believe I treated my pride and joy like that.
Since there were nearly 60 vehicles, it was a bit chaotic but
the organisers did very well to cope.
After vehicle sound checks, were were sent to the classroom
session - quite basic. Then a parade lap. An instructor hopped
in for the first 10 mins of my first session - very helpful, but
felt I needed more. Then on my own for 3 more sessions.
I would say 1/2 of the attendeed were regulars, but all were well behaved, allowing quicker cars through. 8 cars on the track at a time and the marshalling was very good. Biggest problem is tyres - even after just the 1 hour, there was visible wear -I'd day 10-20% of their life.
Still, when is the next one...?
