Tyres for wet track days?

Considering the forecast for Croft, how do people think tyres wear in the wet?
I have brand new P1 wheels with full rubber & my 16" standard alloys with 3-5mm tread. Can you knacker new tyres in the wet due to overheating/blocks moving?

Standard wheels/tyres for dry, P1 ones will be fine in the wet - water is a good lubricant and tyre wear will be negligible - plus you want a bit more open tread in the wet to shift the water.
