Hi all,
Here are the meeting points again:
M1 Northbound @
Scratchwood (J3) 6.30am
Toddington (J12) 7.15am
Rothersthorpe (J15a) 7.35am
Leicester Forest east (J21/21a) for 8.00am
We will be leaving London at about 6.15am, basically need to be at Dono for 8.30am
Those that will be joining us, would you be good enough to add your name to this list?
This time we will be hanging round for 5 mins after times stated so please be early.
See ya there!
Cem
p.s. Police ARE around at this time of day and they are ****.

Blow Dog excuse my ignorance but I haven't received any info on arrival times etc. for the Donington track day.
What time are we supposed to be there, and will it matter if I'm late?? first time at Dono you see.
Would love to convoy with everyone else but your proposed times have freaked me out
Just a bit scared of fallen asleep down the pit straight
Mark

LOL Mark,
Well its like this.
Signing on starts from 7.45am throughout all day. But you MUST attend the briefing which is on at 8.45am (correct me if I'm wrong anyone).
If you don't attend the briefing at the specified time (lasts about 15 mins), there is a very good chance you won't be let onto the track
Getting onto the track 1st thing in the morning is also a very nice experiece, less chance of rain and the track is very quiet.
The times for the meeting points, however, are optimisticly early. Reason is because we spend a lot of time farting around at the services on the way up, waiting for those that have overslept to arrive It is also great fun convoying up the M1 to Donington with a group of similar cars (we still need to behave though ) I remember when we had about 25 Subaru's in convoy up the M1 once. Sounded mad.
You don't have to join us on the convoy, just make sure you are at the briefing on time. It's just nicer to arrive in a bunch, that way everyone knows what they are doing and never gets lost As the fool said, 'Follow me sir, I'm right behind you!'
Cem
p.s. hope this helps

Cem. Didn't "Sticky Pete" drive on ahead and film us all going by from on top of a bridge.
Pete. Did you ever post that footage?

I have a favour to ask someone.
Is there anyone going past Islington to meet me at Scratchwood? I have a very good friend that needs picking up.
Would appreciate it.
Cheers
Cem

And I am the aforementioned good friend! Will go with Cem otherwise but if there's anyone passing through central London I can get myself to a mutually convienient spot as required.
I've got a big lens and will swap photos for favours, fnarr!

Are you guys'n'gals going to get to Donno services for a bit of breakie as well....I will be hitting the services for bacons etc at circa 08.00/08.15....its only 5 mins down the road to the track and hopefully sets you up nicely for the day ahead....its also a fair bit cheaper than the "chuck wagon" in the paddock!!!!
If you fancy it...we will see you southern jessies for a caffeine hit at about that time...
ciau.

Thanks for the insight, wouldn't mind a bit rain for some slidy slidy fun.
If I arise early enough then I shall see you all at the Toddington services, but if I'm late (chances are high on this one ) then I'll be chasing the convoy's tail all the way up to Dono
See you guys Sunday

Cem, is it ok for someone from EVO magazine to come? They want to see how much quicker an STI is than an EVO V1 through a slalom. Apparently EVO V1's tend to kick the back out a bit!

See you guys at Toddington at the crack of dawn, ie 07:15ish
But if I miss you then I'll catch you guys up. I don't think you will be to hard to miss.
How many cars are we talking anyhow??
Sunday, let it roll on.

Wahayy - I've got permission to go
I'll tag on at LFE. Looking forward to seeing you all again, David, Cem etc.
I'll get to LFE a bit earlier to get some brekkie in as you know I should avoid the Dono food if I'm going to blag a passenger ride!
