Hi guys,

Did anyone on the board go to the track day at Bruntingthorpe on Saturday? There were a few Scoobys there so theres a good chance.

I thought it was a cracking day, and it was good of the weather to stay reasonably sunny.

Steve

Spose thats a no then.

Shame, I was talking to someone with a very nice STi7 with PPP, and there were 6 or 7 Scoobs there in total, thought one or two of them might have been from here.

hi
i was there, lucky enough to be invited down to drive the fisher fury bike engined kit cars. the competition car was awesome, so fast they barred it as people were moaning about it.
only weighs 440kg! stomach wrenching acceleration.

after that i managed to blag a ride with a mates R33 skyline, which was very quick.decent day with all the differing cars there!

The Skyline looked pretty quick - what sort of power was it tuned to?

skyline is bog std bottom end.
air filter, de cat, 3" exhaust.
.9- 1 bar boost.

harry reckons its 450bhp spec.

reason its so quick is its got proper brakes (massive brembos and 360mm discs), and electronically adjustable coil over Teins.
(also set up with correct camber and toe for trackdays, and on dunlop formula rs.)-road legal ones.

the suspension/brakes have got to be one of the best set ups i've ever been in or on track, brilliant handling.
the fast left hand corner at the end of the little pitlane straight
was taken at 120mph every lap in the skyline, and was pulling away out of it very strongly. never spun/slipped or squealed once!
