Track Day Insurance

Competition Car Insurance (ie Egger Lawson) are actually very reasonable when it comes to track insurance!
Cover starts at about the £55 level (depending on the type of event and organiser) for about £5k of accident damage cover with a £1k excess. The more cover you want (remember that the average claim is probably £3k - £4k of damage), then the higher the premium.
If you want cover for the full value of a car (can be argued this isn't really necessary), and no excess, then quite rightly, the premium will be very high.
They can even offer you a "season ticket" for track cover, which will work out cheaper if you intend to do a lot of events, though most people go for a road insurance policy that also provides track cover.
There are a few other brokers which offer similar types of cover, but in the past, they've all been many times more expensive than Egger Lawson.
