I'll take pity on you

it depends what wheels you are running first, 16" are easy to get slicks for, new and secondhand.
17" are difficult to get hold of. New something like £140 per corner, Dunlop, Pirelli, Michelin etc,,,Secondhand £25-£40 a corner. Look in the back of Motorsport News especially now the race /rally season is generally over.
18" marginally easier than 17" but still tricky. Again expensive new ones available and occasionally you'll find some secondhand ones.

Next question is full slick, semi slick, moulded etc..Full slick is race competition use only but can be had secondhand.Rally/race Moulded/ road legal ( E marked) /semislicks available new and secondhand. Rumours that Eggar Lawson will not cover cars on non e marked slicks for track insurance . I don't know the answer, maybe Chris/Mellow does or of course you could ring Eggar Lawson direct.

Road legal types such as Michelin club sport go for around £180 a corner in 18's new.

Good present if your wife has plenty of cash, and is understanding, as the last set of full slicks I had lasted 5 laps of Silverstone GP before one died.

Sizing methodology differs between tyre companies, scoobies run on comparatively narrow tyres which makes it extra difficult to find sets. Just ask the vendors if they will fit 17 X 7J or whatever when you are buying them.

err... I`ve got loads of 16" slicks that fit perfectly and will last 3 or 4 track days. A set of 4 costs £100 and postage for a set is £8.50. Loads of guys on here use them and no-one has moaned yet!

Give me a ring on 07968 048322 all the best, Andy

Remoulds or Andy above sound good

Basically the harder slicks the better as scoobs are comparatively heavy beasts and on a hot day you can kill soft ones very quickly.
