Default Bad knocking from front advice please

Hi guys, I have had this for a while and IRS doing my head in.

I'm getting a really bad knocking from my front left shock, I have coil overs but it's only this corner. I have replaced my track rod ends as they were shot and I thought that would be the issue but it's not.

What I have noticed is that there is a visible separation of the rubber on the top mount, almost like a crack around the centre where it has been put together. if I lift the hub upwards the thread in the top mount moves up slightly along with the central piece of rubber surrounding it.

Do you guys think this could be my issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.. I'm going mad

Dan

Almost definately the issue, if you lift the hub up and anything moves other than the spring compressing theres an issue!

Stick a pic up to explain where it is.

Sure its not just the top nut come undone?

I don't think it's loose as it has had an air gun on it, I will take a pic and get some pretty ms paint lines all over it to point at the issue

Right then , this is the current state of my top mount, as you can see there is a crack around the centre, is this where it is put together or has it torn?
