Please help. My steering rack on my 95 wrx import has decided to start leaking on to my exhaust. What if any is the difference between a wrx rack and an sti rack? Also where can I get a replacement from? Can you get a repair kit for these racks? All help is greatly appreciated

 

Are you sure it's the rack that's leaking and not the power steering pump or power steering lines?

 

Yes mate as gator is split and covered in fluid. Going to take it off road and change pipes and rack and inspect pump

 

Over here in the states there are rebuild kits available. See if they have some out your way.

 

There are indeed some rebuild kits available from the US. I'm not sure if one is available from Subaru.

But you need to verify which one you will need. It may be ultimately easier to find a replacement rack from a breaker.

 

Get one of the brakers , cheap enough and easy to fit... And if you going to get one get the quick rack, well worth mod for what it costs..
