There are some prodrive lowering springs on ebay, which give about a 30mm drop i think, not sure if they will fit a wrx though.
Could go quite cheap,

I've dropped my bug WRX 50mm with 8x18 Rotas fitted. An offset of ET48 caused no rubbing and with the rear arches rolled I've been able to fit 12mm spacers. There's plenty of room under the newage arches as long as you don't go mad with the wheel width/offset

You need to decide whats more important for you, looks or handling. By lowering to much you will lose the handling, youll have to neutralize it "bump steer" kit your drivqbility will be **** basicaly as there will be no suspension travel, so it wont absorb the bumps and other stuff on the road. By putting the spacer unless their hubercentric your beerings will go sooner and the feel of the car will be wobly. Doo a search on here "Arnie_1" . Youll find some good advice on suspension , camber etc. hope that helps...
