Hi All,
I know this has already been discussed - but as search is down I don't know when.

It seems that when I go over even a marginal bump/hole there is a clunking noise from the nearside rear of the car.

I remember seeing this discussed - but can't remember the outcome.

Can anyone tell me what it was - or give me a link to the original discussion?

Thanks!!!!

Nick

You don't need search - try looking through the threads for the last X days.

And you are most likely to find it in the suspension section......

Yeah, look in the suspension section.

I have exactly the same problem you describe.

My car is currently riddled with clunks and clacks! I am gradually chasing them down, but driving the car while sitting in the rear seats is tricky

Anyway - to make my point...

One of my clunks (while going over potholes) was caused by the top nuts on the dampers working loose. (Access to the rear damper tops is easier with the back seats out...)

The clunks, I think are worn sway bar bushes/droplinks and the scraping noise is the worn out brake pads...
(confirmation anyone?)
