Default Front top mount BC coilovers

The drivers side BC top mount appears to be making a knocking noise. Are BC Coilovers life time warranty or covered by the scooby specialist who supplied and fitted them.

The BC's have been on the car for 2 years and not sure whether BC pride themselves on guranteeing life time warranty or not.

There is a fault and if it were replaced would I need to the geometry done again?

The BC's do not come with a lifetime warranty, I don't know of any suspension that does. Iif you give us a call on 01274 683633, or send me your number, we would be glad to help you with your issue.

You're lucky. I had to have my rear o/s top mount replaced after a couple of months and my front o/s top mount replaced after 11 months https://www.scoobynet.com/suspension-12/928166-hawkeye-front-suspension-knocking-rattle.html and now my rear n/s top mount has started the dreaded rattle effectively on the 12 months but I was on holiday at the time and so it is now out of warranty.

Trouble is, I have a 200 mile round trip to take it back to the installer and now can't be ar$ed for what I hope is a relatively cheap rubber mounting.

Is your problem the front or rear? I don't think geometry should need doing if the rear and Iif the front 'm told if you carefully mark the location of the bolt hades you should be OK - Not convinced personally!

It seems clear from the video that the top nut is loose. The pillowball is not moving with the damper rod up and down within its housing, its just the the damper rod moving up and down independently to the joint. Tighten the top centre nut, 2 minutes work and problem eradicated.

Who told you the pillowball was worn and how did you source a replacement?

Who replaced the rear top mount?

If anyone else has an issue with their BC Racing units then come to us first for advise, we might well save you a headache and money. Id much rather spend the time helping our customers out than get a bad name through misdiagnosis. It doesnt matter if the kit came from us or one of our dealers, as long as we supplied it originally then we are here to help.
