Hi ive got an 03 wrx track biased raod car, lightened it as much as possible, its got tien coilovers up front and KTW coilovers at the rear, running 18s.

At the front from the ground to the arch lip is 26inches, and the rear 26 and quater inches.

What is the ideal ride height for good handelling and decent ride?

Whats next handelling wise after seting up coilovers?????

Measure from center of wheel hub to bottom of arch. Only way to get an accurate idea of ride height. The way you measure means nothing as wheel/tyre combos will influence that ride height.

As a starting point, I use 14.25" F/ 13.75" R, center of hub to bottom of arch. Its a good compromise in geometry and lowered CoG. That's also using Whiteline Roll Center Adjusters.

Gotta ask, why in the hell are you using two different brands of coilovers?!

It sprang to mind after id posted the thread what pointless measurments they were. Il check my car against the measurments you stated, thanks

Bought some second hand tiens, turned out one of the rears was leaking so have used a couple of rears that were kicking around my shed,that came from a friends spec c.
When i stop being tight i may invest in a new set.

lol, I hear ya. Some times its enough of an effort to get the car on the road!

Just make sure the spring rates between the two are "compatible". Meaning, spring rates not too extreme in difference as you could get some nasty handling characteristics in extreme situations. Can't do much about the damping characteristics but do your best to set the damper up to critically damp the spring and fine tune balance from there.
