Default Stiffer Springs For Tein Flex Coilovers

Hi there, anyone know much about coilovers?

I have a 03 STI on Tein Flex Coilovers . The car has now become a track only car. I'm looking to upgrade the springs to something suited more to track, the current ratings I 6kg front and 5kg rear, how stiff can I go before its to much for the dampers to handle.

I have tried contacting Tein but they only suggested spending 3k on the racing series shocks

Any guru's there ?

I know only one company in USA which can able to do,Turn In concept or company called Swift(this company specialized in spring and other suspension parts)

Here is link on Turn In Concept(but usually best response which i get from this company is on Nasioc)

Have been looking to buy myself a set of coilovers (95% road use) was looking at a set of tein flex's myself , as far as spring rate goes dono if this is any good for a guide, I looked at these and thought them too stiff for the road...

8kg/mm and 6kg/mm .. belive your tiens are 6 and 5 front to back, I asked in another thread if anyone had tried these but doesnt seem anyone has.

out of intrest how have your Teins performed on the road ?

They are great to be fair, they make little weird noise when you go over harsh bumps, kind of a air release noise, might be a little hard for some people but I look for performance over ride quality, but its ok I believe. 16 adjustable, I use number 4 for the road then between 12 and 16 for track.

Hi Dave

i've done 0 miles on these coilovers, because our car is still at garage, but stevebt here running too HSD HR.

But what i know are popular at Australia,Canada etc and as i said before i've tried these on my friend EVO where has been spot on,he was before these Tein Basic which has been too hard for me and for him, later went for BC's which has been little bit better than Tein, now have HSD HR around 6 months and is happy with them.
