Default blobeye suspension to classic

can you fit blobeye suspension (shocks and springs) on to my 1996 classic
if they dont fit what is different and can they be modded to fit

you will need to change your rear top mounts to classic. Ride will be slightly higher so lowering springs needed.

so i can use my classic top mount all round would it matter if they are
STI suspention from the blobeye

hmm, interesting, i had kind of accpeted that this couldn't be done... well when i mean couldn't i mean not without a bit of modding, you could fit anything at all if you modified it enough

I would say that the springs rates and damping characteristics will have been setup for a car a good couple of hundred kilos heavier, so as scubbay mentioned it will likely ride higher and be pretty firm too! hopefully someone will come along and give you a bit more practical info mate! good luck!

Front mounts are the same on both. The shocks are slightly longer hense the need for lowering springs. You would be amazed how many parts are interchangable from newage to classic. STI are the same fitment as wrx

iirc the later STis that use 5x114 pcd have the holes spaced differently on the front struts.....

If you get struts from an STi with 5x100 pcd wheels it'll be fine.

Only late Blobs and Hawks have 5x115 pcd.

i believe they will be from a 2006 sti my mate has got some coilovers
and im hopeing i can get these thats why i wanting to see if they may fit
