Default Bugeye WRX Shockers - Twitchy On Rear

Hi all

it seems that the rear of the car is very twitchy ( could be stiff ) but i have jacked the car up and the shocks are not stuck or leaking from what i can see

has anyone else had this sort of problem

Regards

Colin

Not saying this is definitely the cause, but how are you driving it mate?

If you back off in corners after coming in at a high entry speed, you'll probably find the back attempting to swing out - I found that out a few months after buying mine - nice big four wheeled drift up a slip road that luckily didn't result in any damage to me or anyone else!

just normal driving m8, even when going over small bumps in a stright line the rear seems to bounce / skip really easy. If i push the rear down by hand it is moving so its not stuck.

all the drop links are ok, i think maybe the shocks have gone stiff

anyone else with any input.

Hmmm yeah that doesn't sound right at all!
Sounds almost like how coilovers tend to behave on their softest setting - the damping in that scenario is too OTT and you end up virtually bouncing down the road!

Are you running an OEM setup or modded?

Sounds like your suspicions might be right then, but hopefully someone else can suggest an alternative and help you mate - good luck
