Default Coilovers/dampers and springs or more grease???

Hi Guys,

Bit stuck at the mo, got that rear end clunk on passenger side suspension on a Newage STi. Now, I'm not too bothered about lowering the car, adjustability or any of the stuff that coilovers offer, but are they the best cost/benefit way of going?

I've never driven a car with them so don't really know what I'm missing. Taking my car to Rich at FB Tuning (slick new workshop apparently) and he has said one option is to try and repack the shock with more grease - am i just delaying the inevitable?

Other options is maybe Bilstein dampers/eibach springs. Anyone got experience or has success with moooore grease?

Depending on how bad the knocking from the shock is, repacking with Lithium Grease may alleviate the problem in the short term, but the problem is sure to reappear in the future. - Replacement is really the only sensible option.

You could replace with KYB Dampers, if you want to keep the stock setup, or consider BC or Tein Coilovers.
