I wasnt sure what area to put this in so I thought here would do.

I have a strange knocking noise which only happens when I put it in reverse, this makes me think engine mount. When I come off the power it happens too. I am wonderimg if it could be top mount or bushes or wishbones etc.

Any help on this would be great as I use the car every day at the mo.

 

i had similar problem, does it occure when you change gear too?
i found it was the diff mounts. the plate that holds the diff mounting bushes in by the side skirt was bent up, and was hitting the arm.
