Why do you need coilovers?

What else is there for Hawkeye cars other than OEM Subaru struts at silly prices?

The BC/Apex system come in at £510 inc. with the group buy at the moment.
The kit comes with all parts and fully built up. i'd recommend adjusters as well for the back.

Zen Performance fitted some to my 06 STi yesterday and I am very impressed with the nimbleness and much smoother ride so far.

For your budget youd be able to get a set of the BC Racing ER Series complete with both camber AND castor adjustable front top mounts and camber adjustable rear top mounts.

Same set up used on Duncan Grahams Time Attack car as well as Norris Designs 900bhp short wheel base championship winning Evo

Can't you get hold of Ohlins struts?
I know they are available in US.
Otherwise the OE struts are great with a set of Eibach/Sti pinks/Prodrive springs.
