Default STI Springs on a WRX

I've got hold of some STI springs would i see any benefit in changing them over my WRX springs?

Car is a MY 03 Blob, no mods.

Thanks,

Jamie

You will need STI top mounts to fit the springs to your WRX.

Ive fitted Sti springs to my classic - no probs - ride 15mm or so lower and much stiffer but not enough to annoy the family - bonus!

why fit the sti springs, why not fit some eibachs or teins instead, seeing as many sti owners will upgrade to these springs from the standard sti ones, for the amount of money it costs (unless you're doing it yourself) to get them fitted (approx 3 hours labour) you might as well.....you may end up upgrading again otherwise .... just my opinion !

Hi Iain,

I was looking at a set of Eibachs but found some STI springs for next to nothing so was just going to put them on instead. But as above i will need to get some top mounts so not worth it now.

Thanks to all for the replies

Fair enough!

So what are you going to do now then?

I'll probably get rid off the STI one's if they definately don't fit and just keep an eye out for either some Prodrive or Eibach one's.

Thats if my shocks don't start knocking in the meantime
