returning to original suspension help
Hi all, just bought my first impreza last week, its a 53 sti, pretty sure the previous owner had it lowered but theres nothing in the receipts saying what suspension it is etc.
Anyway although i first thought i like the lowered look it turns out i dont! would much rather have it the original height, any idea how much it would cost me to have the original suspension fitted or have i got any other options with regards to aftermarket products etc?
Thanks.

Look on ebay etc, get a set of stock STi springs (usually cost about £20-30) and fit them (about 45minutes a corner, so get a price if you can't DIY).

it will depend on what is on there at the moment.
Chances are it's just got a set of lowering springs, in which case you can fit standard springs to get the rideheight back to standard.
However, it might have had replacement shocks as well (e.g. "coil over suspension"), in which case you will need new dampers too.
Could you take a pic of the springs/ dampers and post up?

Sorry for the late reply, been offline for a week. The guys at scoobyclinic tell me its on standard suspension with tein lowering springs, anyway, the shockers are knackered so i need replacements.
They recommended me hotbits adjustable coilovers, cant remember the exact price but i think they were just a bit over £1k.
What are my options when replacing all the suspension? Im not bothered whether theyre adjustable or not, i just want it as close to the original height and firmness as possible.
Thanks in advance for any help.

if you want original height and stiffness, just get replacement OEM dampers and springs IMO, no need to get coil overs which seem to be a ball ache most of the time anyway (knocking, needing rebuilds etc etc).
There's probably pattern parts if you don't want to pay subaru prices

Does sound a bit suspect now, but id read good things about scoobyclinic and sort of trusted them.
Where can i get the full oem suspension then or pattern parts, how much, etc?
Thanks again.
